About Banff Park Lodge

The Banff Park Lodge sits just off Lynx Street near the Banff Park Museum, which puts it a short walk from the main strip without being directly on it. At over 200 rooms it is one of the larger independent hotels in Banff and runs with the efficiency that scale allows.

The indoor pool and hot tub are well-maintained. La Terrazza in the building handles Italian food at a price point below what you would pay for a comparable meal on Bear Street. The lodge has been operating long enough that the service delivery is consistent, which matters when you are arriving late after a long drive from Calgary.

The Lynx Street location means you are close enough to Banff Ave to walk everywhere but removed from the summer pedestrian density on the main strip. A practical reliable hotel choice that does not require managing expectations in either direction.
