Book this campground if you want tent sites right on the water without fighting for a reservation months in advance. Two Jack sits on the eastern shore of Lake Minnewanka and gives you immediate access to one of Banff's least crowded lakes. The campground feels removed from the Bow Valley chaos while staying just 20 minutes from town.
Your site sits steps from the lakeshore, and many have direct water views. You get a picnic table, fire ring, and pit toilet at each spot. The lake itself is clean and cold, perfect for swimming in July and August when the water finally warms up. A short hiking trail connects to the lake's north shore if you want to explore beyond your campsite.
Arrive early in peak season (June through September) because the 80 sites fill by midday. The trade-off is basic facilities: no showers, no hookups, no running water at sites. This works best for campers comfortable with minimal amenities who plan to spend time actually on the lake. Come in September if you hate crowds and don't mind cooler water temperatures.
